Nine Minds is a Tampa, Florida based AI startup reimagining enterprise software to drive efficiency and profitability, beginning with changing how businesses use AI for customer support.
The company is funded by Bellini Capital, a private investment firm building a technology innovation ecosystem in Tampa. Nine Minds is one of several startups launched by former ConnectWise executives who benefited from that company’s sale in 2019.
Founder & CEO Robert Isaacs was Chief Software Architect at ConnectWise and has spent more than 20 years working on software for technology providers.
Appropriately, Nine Minds’ first product launch is a ConnectWise customer service extension that automates IT ticketing using Nine Minds’ AI engine, Octavia. The company name and logo are based on the clever octopus, which has nine brains – one in each tentacle in addition to its mantle (head).
Nine Minds has developed an AI that makes life easier for workplaces and employees by essentially becoming part of the customer support team, optimizing efficient service response and delivery
Nine Minds’ first product, “Octavia by Nine Minds,” was developed specifically for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), to lighten the workload created by the constant flood of tickets.
Successful MSPs should be able to support 200 to 250 users per tech. By automating the ticket generation to resolution process, MSPs can provide best-in-class service with optimal efficiency, allowing them to grow and be profitable.
Octavia has been trained on thousands of real IT service tickets, so it is not only able to identify the nature of a request and its urgency, but create an accurate summary of the issue, and generate intelligent, tailored advice for how to address it.
The AI is so advanced that it recognizes sentiment and generates natural sounding responses, enabling service providers to provide quick customer communications.
Nine Minds’ Octavia also helps providers demonstrate their service levels by generating client-ready reports that include response times, and number and categorization of issues resolved.
